Riverview Parade, North Manly

Architect: Mass Designs, Michael Sweeney

The Riverview Parade project involved demolition and reconfiguration of most of the internal walls. Downstairs, the front of the house was opened to provide an atrium, with a 4 metre high feature front door constructed of cedar and glass joinery. The back of the building was extended to give a large open living/kitchen area with travertine tiled floors backing onto a large deck through stacking sliders. A swimming pool was built beside the house, and landscaped to the reserve. An open staircase was installed with fully glassed walls and glass hand rails allowing abundant sunlight to enter the property.

Upstairs, a curved roof was installed which provided curved ceilings throughout. A large timber deck was built off the back with operable louvres for protection from the sun. An external spa was also installed.

Features include:

Features of the house include torch on membrane as the curved roof covering, travertine tiled bathrooms, and Centor sliding door systems.
